For our last parade float, our younger Girl Scouts voted on a Candy Land theme float.
To make super cute candy lights, the girls poked a hole into two plastic cups, strung the lights through the cups and wrapped them in tissue paper to look like a piece of candy. The result is above. They turned out fantastic all around the sides of the float.
The girls also built a Gingerbread House. They used a refrigerator box that we got from Lowe’s, hot glued paper plates (for the roof shingles) and added some candy decorations from Hobby Lobby.
Our girls really wanted to go inside it but we had it sealed so they couldn’t go in. It made a neat little house that was on the back of our float.
More pictures to come later….. But please check out some pictures from our Whoville Float…
