Game Controllers Perler Hama Bead Patterns

1.  Nintendo Controller

This pattern represents the original Nintendo controller with the word Nintendo represented with red beads.  Colors used were gray, black and red.  My kids had a blast pretending that they were playing, it fit right into their hands.

Not sure who the original designer of the pixel image was, as it was just an uploaded picture.  If anyone finds out, let me know so I can give appropriate credit.

2.  Game Boy and More

Original Design- Jake Tastic.  Perler Beads were made using green, orange, white, black, light green, gray, yellow, light purple and dark purple.

3.  Nintendo Switch

This controller was made by my son’s friend.  He used his gaming box to design his own pattern.  Made from dark gray, red, blue and black Perler beads.  Amazon has a great tray with lots of colors as well as individual bags if you need to order additional beads.

Perler/Hama Bead Picture Frame Designs

As we were looking at new picture frames, we thought we would try to make some Perler bead designs that could be hot glued to a frame to make the picture and  frame stand out.   Looking forward to trying lots more designs.

If you need any of Perler/Hama beads, the links will take you to the items on Amazon.   Enjoy!

1. My Little Pony – Rainbow Dash

This was for my daughter.  In retrospect, I would make the frame a few more lines higher to make it a better fit for the frame.  This frame fits a 4 x 6 frame and we bought ours for $1.00 at Dollar Tree.  Original designer – ashmoondesigns- deviant art.  Beads used were blue, pastel blue, yellow, red, orange,  and white.

2. Hello Kitty

This one was for my little sister who still loves Hello Kitty!  Original designer – yumeleona23 at Deviant Art.  Beads used were glitter pink, redwhite, tan, black, light pink.   I love the way it turned out when glued on the frame!  I did use the masking tape method to iron it but I’m sure you could do it either way.

3. TV Picture Frame

Star Wars Perler Beads

Searching for some awesome Star Wars patterns to add to your collection?  If you need more beads, the links will take you to Amazon.   Enjoy!

1. R2D2

Original Pixel Art by Kandi Patterns. Perler beads used were  black, gray, white, red, blue.  The kids like their patterns melted thoroughly and R2D2 turned out great.

2. R2D2 Picture Frame

Original Design – PerlerHamaParadise. Used the masking tape method on this one and back seemed to come out better.  Fits great on a 4 x 6 frame.  Plan to use some hot glue to attach it to the frame.  Used black, gray, white, red, blue and green.

(Unfortunately, one of my kids had something on the table when it was flipped over and the front got wet and yucky.  Luckily the back was saved so my finished project is flipped from the beginning)

Next, I bought a $1.00 4 x 6 frame from the dollar store, added a little hot glue and it was ready to go!

Minecraft Perler Beads

Minecraft Perler Beads Time!!   These are some of the patterns that the kids and I have built that have a Minecraft theme.  This post will be updated as we continue to find and build more patterns. with the same theme.

1. Minecraft Logo with Characters

Original Design by Tristanya.

Top picture is the design with the beads unmelted and the second one is the completed melted project.  We used the masking tape method to pull the project off the grids before ironing.  My son is super excited to hang this in his room. If you need more Perler Beads or grids, Amazon, Hobby Lobby or Joanns Fabrics has some great materials.

15.  Super Mario Star Earrings

These cute little stars were made using a pixel image from Kandi Patterns.  I used the pattern to make the star out of Mini Perler Beads.  I then poked a hole in the top, attached a small split ring and an earring hook and ironed.  One side I ironed so the colors would blend but the other side I left pixelated to have the best of both worlds.  My daughter loves them.

Pokeballs, Great, Ultra and Original Perler Bead Patterns

Its Summertime which means more arts and crafts, more Perler Beads, more games and just more fun!  My kids had so much fun working on these and even after, my son played an entire game pretending to catch Pokemon with the different Pokeballs when they were finished.

Note: When melting them, feel free to melt them for however long works for your family. Mine like them a little more melted than usual to where the colors blend together instead of the bead look.  However both versions will look great!

Back to the Future Perler Bead Patterns

Back to the Future, Perler Beads, Marty, Doc, DeLorean
Marty, Doc & the DeLorean

Back to the Future is my husband’s all time favorite movie and the kids love it also.  When we came across Perler Bead patterns of Doc and Marty, I just had to build it!

Special thanks to the original poster of this picture which inspired us.  Grids and Perler beads can be found at Amazon here – grids or perler beads

We like our beads a little more heated to give it the blended effect instead of the beaded effect.  However, whichever way you choose, they will turn out amazing!

Marty

Doc

Of course, the DeLorean

These were super fun to build and only took about an hour or so for all three.  The DeLorean was definitely the hardest, however it was super fun.  They now hold a nice place of honor in our Perler Bead Collection!

Tetris Perler Bead Pattern

Perler Bead Tetris Bricks, craft, beads, perler
Perler Bead Tetris Bricks

This Perler bead craft was inspired by the classic game Tetris.  As I was looking around for a new craft pattern for the kids, I saw this pin for sale on Etsy.  However, when I went there it was no longer for sale, so the kids and I made our own.

We are putting Command Velcro strips on the back to put on the wall behind my desk at school.  We had super fun creating them.

The patterns are below.  Since they were pretty small, I was able to put 3 on each grid.

If you would like to make these yourself, Amazon has the grids and Perler Beads for sale very decently  priced.  You can also get them at Hobby Lobby or other craft stores.

Legend of Zelda Perler/ Hama Bead Patterns

My kids and I have recently discovered Perler beads and the amazing fun crafts that you can make out of them.  Perler beads are found at craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Amazon and can be used to make awesome patterns.  Finish them off with an iron and they are perfect to hang up or have cute decorations for a party or bedroom.

Here are a few Zelda Themed Patterns- We will  add more as we find and make them.

#1 – The Triforce – pixel inspiration from Brik

#2 Link’s Shield – pixel inspiration from pixel art by Brik

#3 Link to the Past Link- in retrospect, I would replace the top black bead from the right side of the shield with a peach one, as it looks like his eyes are drooping.  – pixel inspired by Deviant Art

#4 – Chicken from Link to the Past – pixel inspired by Kandi

#5 – Link’s Heart Meter – inspired by doityourfreakingself

I then also took this a step further.   My daughter and I used this to make a pair of heart earrings out of Mini Perler Beads.   She tweaked the pattern a little to make it smaller- however they still came out really neat.  Once the pattern was done, we poked a hole in the top, attached a small split ring and an earring hook and ironed.  One side I ironed so the colors would blend but the other side I left pixelated to have the best of both worlds.  My daughter loves them.

After the hearts, we decided to make Triforce Earrings!  Using a modified pattern, we used the same process as above with the hearts.  The results are below…

#6- Rupees

Zelda Rupees- Perler Hama PatternsOriginal Design by – CalysDesign.  These were fun additions to our Zelda Collection.  Used red, pink,, white, light and dark purple, blue and dark blue, green and light green, yellow and pastel yellow with black trim.

Yellow and Green Zelda Rupee Perler Hama Bead Pattern

#7 Link’s Lamp

Link's Lamp- Legend of Zelda Perler Hama Bead Pattern

This pattern is designed after the pixelated image of Link’s Lamp.  My son used white and red Perler beads to create it.   I think if we had to do this one again, we would maybe add another color (black?) around the inside due to the lamp feeling very fragile once ironed.

#8 Zelda Treasure Chest

Legend of Zelda Treasure Chest Perler Hama Bead Pattern

Original Design by Danny Yama.  Chest made from cheddar, red, rust, white and black beads.  If you would like a tray of presorted beads, Amazon has a great one here.    Or if you like sorting,  a 22,000 set here.

#9 Navi

Original design by molloy-11.  Made with dark blue, light blue, blue, white, and gray Perler beads.

#10 Breath of the Wild Monster Cake

My son’s friend made this from looking at the game. Made with light purple, purple, rust, gray, yellow, white and light yellow Perler beads.
